This is a plain-language summary written for small food businesses and their customers. It is not legal advice.
Who we are
directORDR provides online ordering pages ("storefronts") for restaurants and food sellers ("merchants"). When you order from a storefront, the order goes to that merchant. The merchant is responsible for preparing, delivering and handling your order.
Information from customers
Customers do not need an account. When you place an order we collect:
- Your name and phone number, so the merchant can contact you.
- Your delivery address and order notes, if you enter them.
- The items you ordered, prices at the time of ordering, delivery fee, and total.
- Your chosen payment and delivery method.
- For GCash orders: the reference number and receipt screenshot you upload.
This information is visible to the staff of the store you ordered from. It is not shown to other stores. Your browser also remembers a reference to your latest order on that store so you can return to the tracking page; this stays on your device.
Information from merchants and staff
- Account email, name and, if provided, phone number.
- Store details: business name, address, contact number, logo, menu and photos.
- Payment settings you choose to show customers, such as a GCash name, number and QR code.
- Staff roles and invitations for your store.
- Subscription payment receipts you submit to directORDR.
Payments
Customers pay merchants directly using the methods each merchant sets up (for example cash on delivery or the merchant's own GCash). directORDR does not receive or hold customer payment funds. Receipt screenshots are stored privately so the merchant can check them; merchants confirm payments themselves.
Merchant subscription payments to directORDR are separate and are reviewed manually by our team.
How information is used
- To send orders to the right store and show order status.
- To run merchant accounts, staff access and subscriptions.
- To protect the service from abuse (for example limiting repeated orders from one network). For this we keep a scrambled, non-readable version of network addresses for a short time.
- To find and fix errors.
We do not sell personal information. We do not send marketing SMS on behalf of merchants.
Storage, retention and deletion
Data is stored with our hosting and database provider. Uploaded images are kept in private storage. Order history is kept so merchants can see their sales records. When a store is closed and deleted, its menu, orders and customer order details are removed. Customers or merchants who want information corrected or deleted can contact the store or us using the link below; we will handle requests within a reasonable time.
Contact
Questions about your order: contact the store directly using the phone number on its page. Other questions: contact directORDR.
